PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To turn on a power supply only for a desired external device to be operated with no complicated operation required by controlling plural external devices to turn on the power supply of only the external device that is related to the designated display. SOLUTION: A menu screen displays the menu keys to select a TV set 101 and the name of an external device that is connected to the set 101 and also displays an external device whose power supply is turned on in a different display color. A highlight part moves according to the operation of an operation part 208 or a remote controller 102, and the menu keys are displayed in highlight to select the set 101 and the name of the external device. The part 208 or the decision button of the controller 102 is continuously depressed for one second or longer after all desired menu keys are displayed in highlight. Thus, all menu keys displayed in highlight are finally selected. At the same time, the color of a finally selected menu key is changed to gray, for example, with other menu keys displayed in white respectively.
