PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corresponding packing information by outputting packing information for packing commodities on sale of commodities to smooth the packing work carried out by a store clerk, and utilizing the number of commodities and the combination of the sold commodities. SOLUTION: A commodity code is read from a commodity code input section 101 (for example, a bar code scanner). Then a commodity code same as the read commodity code is retrieved from a commodity information file 105 in a storage section 104 of a packing information processing section 102. When the same commodity code is found, commodity information and packing information corresponding to the above commodity code are read and output.
