<p>The novel invention proposes to moisten e.g. grain by generating a fluidised bed (20) in a moistening chamber (2) by means of accelerating rotors (3). To this end the cross-section of the swirl chamber is shaped into an outer boundary surface of two or preferably three accelerating rotors (3, 3', 3''). In this manner, the fluidised bed is given an out-of-round cycle and a spiral movement in the moistening chamber (2). Moistening is very carefully performed so that the grains undergo virtually no friction and breakage. Further advantages include a longer and more controllable effective time during moistening, optimal grinding preparation and shorter, controllable conditioning time.</p> |
