<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply separate and recover a lining rubber of a disposed rubber- lined metal tube, without environmental pollution by extruding the lining rubber to the outside of the metal tube after soaking the disposed rubber-lined metal tube in liquid nitrogen. SOLUTION: In a metal tube lined with a rubber having a comparatively thick wall disposed from a food processing factory or the like, first the rubber- lined metal tube is soaked in liquid nitrogen, and a lining rubber is extruded to the outside of the metal tube, when the lining rubber is separated from the metal tube to be recovered. In this method, the lining rubber becomes brittle due to a low temperature to lose its adhesion by cooling the rubber-lined metal rube at a low temperature through soaking in the liquid nitrogen, or the lining rubber becomes contracted, and the lining rubber is separated from the metal tube. Consequently, the lining rubber can be extruded from the metal tube to be recovered by pressing one end of the lining rubber after soaking it in the liquid nitrogen. The lining rubber separated and recovered is reused as rubber scrap, and the rubber resources are effectively utilized.</p> |
