PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve riding comfort by minimizing damping force during straight driving and to suppress pitching or roll by maximizing damping force during acceleration or turning by using a suspension device for a vehicle. SOLUTION: In this suspension device, a pilot chamber 42 is disposed in back of a disk valve 17 of a hydraulic buffer of damping force adjustable type 1. Opening pressure of the disk valve 17, i.e., a valve characteristic, is adjusted by adjusting an orifice characteristic directly as well as varying the pressure in the pilot chamber 42 by a spool 53. A chamber on one end of the spool 53 is communicated with the pilot chamber 42. A hydraulic chamber 58, provided on the other end of the spool 53 of the hydraulic buffer of damping force adjustable type 1 that is disposed in front and back or left and right of the suspension device, is communicated with a duct 60. During straight driving where the hydraulic buffers of damping force adjustable type 1 in front and back or left and right expand and contract in the same mode, the spool 53 does not move and a small damping force is thus generated, and during turning where the hydraulic buffers expand and contract in a reverse mode, the spool 53 moves by differential pressure in the pilot chamber 42 of each buffer and a large damping force is thus generated. |
