PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the electrophotographic photoreceptor high in resolution and freed of memory phenomenon in images condidering the thickness of a photosensitive layer and the mobility of the carrier in the photosensitive layer. SOLUTION: The film thickness of the photosensitive layer 5 formed on a conductive substrate 1 is 15-35μm and the mobilityμof the carrier and the electric field E satisfy the formula:μ=μ0×En (μ0 is a constant and (n) is a number of <=0.6), and the photosensitive layer 5 comprises a charge generating layer 3 and a charge transfer layer 4, and it is effective that a charge generating material in the photosensitive layer is, for example, a phthalocyanine compound and a charge transfer material is, for example, a hydrazone compound.
