PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject working machine capable of reducing its weight, comprising a driving shaft including a hollow shaft as a main body by making the hollow shaft support a specific connection member. SOLUTION: This working machine has a driving motor for rotating and driving a working tool 5 through a hard driving shaft 4 installed in a guide pipe. The working machine has a joint connection part in which the free end 21 of the driving shaft 4 acts in a shape restriction manner. The driving shaft 4 includes a hollow shaft 7 as a main body. The hollow shaft 7 supports a connection member 6 for forming the joint connection part at the end part 20 of the hollow shaft. In the operation, preferably the hollow shaft 7 is made of a lightweight material, especially aluminum, an aluminum alloy or a fiber- reinforced plastic and the connection member 6 is made of an abrasion-resistant material.
