PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and quickly set the video recording reservation on a prescribed channel by selecting the data to specify a channel according to the data which are recorded corresponding to the data which specify a channel. SOLUTION: In a process where a reserved video recording setting program and a WWW browser execute quickly the video recording reservation of a prescribed program, the reserved video recording setting program reads the video recording reservation data which are supplied from the WWW browser and then reads out the character string following 'station' of the video recording reservation data (S21, S22). Then a character string of a prescribed channel name is read out of a channel conversion file and it is decided whether the character string following 'station' is coincident with the character string of the prescribed channel name. If the coincidence of both character strings is confirmed, a channel corresponding to the character string of the prescribed channel name is set (S23-S25). The channel display corresponding to the set channel is set to end this processing (S26).
