PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interference between an operating portion of a vertical mechanism and a cushion material or the like while achieving a compact size, an expanded room space, and easy assembly of a vehicle seat by lowering the upper surface of the cushion. SOLUTION: A seat frame 1 is configured such that front sides of front right and left side frames 10 are connected by means of a front side frame and rear sides thereof are connected by means of a rear side frame 18. The seat frame 1 is also composed of a plurality of spring bodies 15 provided laterally in parallel between the front side frame 2 and rear side frame 18. A vertical mechanism 22 is provided with a sector gear 34 and interlock arm 40 that are set outside of the front side frame 2 and inner of the right and left side frames 10.
