PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high speed printing by reducing delay in the memory access by providing a means for efficiently reading, and developing printing bit map data to each drum in a printing device comprising a plurality of photosensitive drums. SOLUTION: An image process controlling part 104 for controlling each block of an image processing part 1001 comprises a CPU, a ROM, and a RAM. Bit map developing parts 105, 107, 109, 111 analyzes each color of printing data (display list) stored in a data receiving buffer 103, and develop printing bit map image data in image memories 106, 108, 110, 112. The developed printing bit map image data are analyzed by the bit map developing parts 105, 107, 109, 111 for storing the printing bit map image data applied with the image development. Printing parts I/F 113, 114, 117 transmit the printing bit map data to printing parts 204, 205, 206, 207.
