EMERGENCY STOP SYSTEM OF WATER SUPPLY IN EARTHQUAKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency stop system of water supply in an earthquake in which the number of earthquake detectors is reduced and cost can be reduced, in a building provided with an elevator. SOLUTION: A solenoid valve 31 is installed in a water distribution pipe 24 connected to a water storage tank 21 installed on the uppermost floor of a building 11, and constituted so as to shut a valve 31 in compliance with a signal from an earthquake detector 16. In this way, stop of the rise and fall motion of the cage 13 of an elevator 12 and closing motion of the valve 31 are operated by one earthquake detector 16 and hence, water in the tank 21 is prevented from leakage.
