PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect manual paper feed trays from breakage by eliminating their protrusion. SOLUTION: A case 18, which has an internally defined paper inverting passage and is on the duplex-unit-mounting side of an image forming device for turning movement on a first pivot 27, has a storage recession 29 in which a manual paper feed tray 28 held turnable on a second pivot 30 to allow manual paper feeding can be stored in a protrusion-free way. The manual paper feed tray 28 is thus protected from knocks and resultantly from breakage.
