PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer that can complete concurrently a print bit map image without spending time on the reading of print data. SOLUTION: A development means that develops a plurality of bit map image data all at once is provided in a printer that prints a plurality of drawing bit map image data on a sheet of recording paper as a recording medium from print data supplied from an external device, such as a host computer or the like. As the development means, a plurality of bit map development sections are provided, and individual drawing bit map image data are processed concurrently in each of the bit map development sections.
