<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner which does not cause clogging even when the toner charges vary to a certain degree by the environmental changes or with time, and which has wide allowance for the charges without causing trailing, splashing, decrease in sharpness, decrease in density or the like by controlling the angle of rest of the toner to a specified range and controlling the average circularity degree to a specified range. SOLUTION: This toner is used for a toner jet method by which the toner is directly sprayed and deposited on a recording body, and its angle of rest is specified to 8.0 deg. to 34.0 deg. and its average circularity degree is specified to 0.945 to 0.992. If the rest of angle exceeds 34.0 deg. or the average circularity degree is less than 0.945, the image density significantly decreases only if the toner charge level is controlled to be a little high, and this greatly narrows the allowance of the setting conditions of the device. If the rest of angle is less than 8.0 deg., pores of the recording electrode where toner passes are clogged in an early stage of repeated printing and the image density decreases with a rather low charge level. If the average circularity degree exceeds 0.992, splashing of the toner or decrease in sharpness is caused with a rather high charge level.</p> |
