PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the amount of electron emission while preventing the degradation in the characteristic of an electron source and the occurrence of damage and to display a picture with faithful luminance for original picture signals over the entire display screen. SOLUTION: V/I converting circuits 108 are provided with n independent constant current sources corresponding to n column direction wiring. Each circuit 108 is a constant current source made up with an operational amplifier, a transistor and a resistor. A voltage limiting circuit 209 utilizes a diode D. A limit value setting circuit is constituted of a D/A converter, a buffer amplifier or a potentiometer connected to a power supply and a buffer amplifier, for example. A spike current absorbing means 211 utilizes a capacitor C. Note that the larger the capacitor, the smaller a voltage increase portionΔVs of the wiring. Thus, the required value of the capacitor C of the means 211 is desired to be not less than 0.1μF.
|
