PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent ink transfer property as a recording medium for elcography, and at the same time, provided a clear printed image of a high gloss, by respectively specifying the glossiness and the air permeability of the surface of a coated paper in the coated paper for elcography wherein a coated layer of which major components are a pigment and an adhesive is provided on a base paper. SOLUTION: In an elcography printing machine, when a cylinder 1 acting as an anode rotates, an ink is fed from an ink feeder 5 in a space between the cylinder 1 and a print head 4 equipped with a cathode. Then, a metal ion is generated between the anode and the cathode, and the ink is gelled and coated on the surface of the cylinder 1. Then, a press roll 7 is pressed to the surface of the cylinder 1, and the ink is transferred to a body 8 to be rotated. In this case, in this coated paper for an elcography wherein a coated layer of which the major components are a pigment and an adhesive is provided on a base paper, the glossiness conforming to JIS P8142 of the surface of the coated paper is set at 70% or higher, and also, the air permeability conforming to JIS P8117 is set at 1000 sec or lower. |
