PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly switch and display a desired program. SOLUTION: While a program selection menu of a general guide is displayed, a remote commander is operated to move a cursor 212 onto a button icon to which a prescribed program corresponds. After the cursor 212 is moved onto a prescribed button icon, the remote commander is operated for selection, the window display of the general guide is released and a program image designated by the cursor 212 is displayed. When the cursor 212 is moved, the reception of the program is started immediately before the select operation is entered.
