<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a thick hard plate material efficiently smoothly and while the cut loss of the thick plate material is reduced to the utmost limits by preventing breakage of an edge tool. SOLUTION: A cutter for a plate material cuts a plate material B with an edge tool 4 by transferring relatively the plate material B and the edge tool 4. For the edge tool 4, at least a part for cutting the plate material B is made platy, and a platy cutting part 4a is arranged parallel to the transfer direction of the plate material B to the edge tool 4. Further, for the cutter, a plurality of projected edges 15 are provided in the cutter part 4a of the edge tool 4. A plurality of the projected edges 15 are provided at specific intervals separately in the transfer direction of the plate material B to the edge tool 4, and projected gradually higher toward an advance direction of the plate material B. The projected edge 15 has an inclined cutting edge 4b being an acute cutting tool for cutting the plate material B by being inserted gradually deeper into the plate material B transferred to the edge tool 4. The inclined cutting edge 4b is inclined in a direction wherein the inclined cutting edge 4b penetrates gradually deeper the plate material B toward the transfer direction of the plate material B.</p> |
