PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the purifying capacity in an air purifier using a photocatalyst, and to prevent the white photocatalyst from being an obstacle for the eyes of a driver. SOLUTION: A photocatalyst carrier 21 is a honeycomb-like aluminum block, and a photocatalyst is carried on the inner surfaces of a large number of air passage pores parallel to each other. The air permeable resistance is reduced thereby, and the area on which the photocatalyst 21 works is increased. A plurality of louvers 35 are provided outside the photocatalyst carrier 21. The reflecting light of the white photocatalyst is prevented from entering the field of vision of a driver through a rear window or a room mirror while the photocatalyst is directly irradiated with the sunshine L.
