ACTIVE SUBSTANCE CARRIER FOR THE CONTROLLED RELEASE OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES IN THE GASTRO-INTESTINAL TRACT WITH DELAYED PASSAGE THROUGH THE PYLORUS

A strip-shaped film substrate with openings and loaded with an active substance serves as the basis for the production of an active substance carrier for the controlled release of active substances in the gastro-intestinal tract with delayed passage through the pylorus. The active substance carrier has openings with the size of at least 3 millimetres; it has an orally acceptable form, e.g. scroll or tucked comprimate and, when unfolded, it has the surface area not exceeding 8 cm2. The carrier is provided with a coating which dissolves in the gastric juice.
