PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting method using a magnetic space tilter and a sizer wherein a nonmagnetic workpieces within the wide range of particle sizes can be sorted with the minimum process. SOLUTION: In a magnetic sorting method for causing nonmagnetic materials in pulverized workpieces W mounted on a conveyor belt 1 to be repelled by the magnetic force of a rotary magnetic pole drum 2 installed on the inner periphery side of the conveyor belt 1 to recover them, the relative revolution (V(t)-v) of both the conveyor belt 1 and the magnetic pole drum 2 at least in the hung rotation area thereof is normally changed with a prescribed latitude allowed. In the hung rotation area of the conveyor belt 1 and the magnetic pole drum 2, most effective maximum magnetic force is generated to the non- magnetic materials of all sizes, small, medium and large, in the pulverized workpieces W mounted on the conveyor belt 1 to exert the magnetic space filter characteristics, and by the least one process only, the non-magnetic workpiece within the wide range of particle sizes can be effectively repulsed, and sorting capacity of the non-magnetic materials from the pulverized workpieces can be remarkably increased. |
