PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device/method which counts the textile products such as stockings, socks and panty stockings. SOLUTION: This device consists of a main body 1 having a structure that is tubular or substantially tubular, an aspirator AS which is connected to the body 1 and generates an air flow that is guided from an inlet part I to an outlet part U of the body 1, a mechanism C which stops temporarily a product 2 that should be controlled in the body 1 and plural optical elements 3a, 3b and 3n which are arranged with a distance almost equal to the diameter of an irregular ball corresponding to a shape occupied by the stopped product 2 by the mechanism C set among them.
