METHOD FOR PREVENTING ILLEGAL OPTICAL DISK USE, OPTICAL DISK REALIZING THIS AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surely preventing disk illegal use, an optical disk for realizing it and its manufacturing method without adding any changes to the hardware constitution of a driving device for setting the optical disk, the software program of a computer connected to the same with a simple structure. SOLUTION: An optical disk 10 has a non-signal area 12 left in a selected information recording region among information recording regions 11. In the selected information recording region, the non-signal area 12 registered as a dummy recording area not to be used is composed of a non-signal plane left along an information recording track at least by a length equivalent to the follow-up incapability of an optical pickup.
