PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To box commodities of given numbers with high density in a boxing method and a boxing device for boxing packaged commodities or the like in a container. SOLUTION: Commodities carried to a classifying and carrying mechanism 4 are classified into two lines on the classifying and carrying mechanism 4 and carried successively to an arranging and carrying mechanism 5 provided continuously on the downstream side, and the commodities carried in two lines from the arranging and carrying mechanism 5 are arranged into the state of overlapping front and rear side edges of the commodities of the given numbers on respective lines. Then the commodities in two lines on the arranging and carrying mechanism 5 are collected by a boxing mechanism having two collecting sections corresponding to two commodity lines one line by one line, and side edges, left and right, of commodities on respective lines are so collected as to be overlapped together and boxed in a container Y. |
