PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent contents of image data desired to be printed out from being peeped through by a 3rd party. SOLUTION: A display section 102 displays received image data on a display screen and accepts image adjustment by an operator and the image after the adjustment is formed on a recording medium placed in a medium installation section 101. An instruction entry section 104 receives selection as to whether an image desired of print is displayed on the display section 102 as it is or a dummy image is displayed. In the case of selection of displaying the dummy image, a dummy image generating section 104 generates the dummy image and the display section 102 displays it.
