FRONT PANEL DEVICE FOR ON-VEHICLE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the opening/closing mechanism of a door member from being damaged and to smoothly open and close the door member as to the front panel device for on-vehicle electronic equipment whose opening for media insertion provided to a front panel member is opened or closed by the door member. SOLUTION: The door member 2 is arranged on the back side of the front panel member 1 with the opening 3 and a shaft 12 supported at the center of the reverse part of the door member 2 is inserted rotatably into a guide groove 10 formed on a hold member 4. This guide groove has a tilt part 10a which extends obliquely backward and a drooping part 10b which extends downward from the rear end of the tilt part. A slide member 5 is held on a hold member 4 in an up/down movable state, a tilt hole 11 into which the shaft 12 is inserted is bored in the member 5, and a coil spring 6 is interposed between the reverse surface of the door member 2 and the slide member 5. Guide projections are provided on both the right and left sides of the door member 2 and inserted into guide holes 9 formed in both the right and left side plates of a front chassis 7. The guide holes 9 also have a tilt part 9a and a droop part 9b.
