PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make restrainable a noise with a small amount of a sound absorbing material by covering a case of a motor-driven blower with a sound absorbing material for restraining a noise produced by the motor-driven blower or a noise produced by air suction and discharge. SOLUTION: The sound absorbing material 50 has a rectangular base part 51 formed of felt. The sound absorbing material 50 is installed in such a manner that a carbon brush 45 is put in the cutout 54 of the base part 51, the projecting part 55 of the base part 51 is disposed between exhaust ports 43, and the base part 51 is wound round a motor case 42. By engaging the projection 53 with the recessed part 52 of the base part 51, the base part is wound round the motor case. The sound absorbing material 50 is thus wound round the motor case, whereby designated sound absorbing effect can be heightened and a small amount of sound absorbing material 50 will be sufficient.
