PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix type display panel and a matrix type display device using the panel, in which a line scroll phenomenon is made invisible, by reducing the region, where scanning timing of scanning electrodes (scanning lines) is being deviated, as much as possible. SOLUTION: Each transparent and electrically conductive film 16, which is scanning electrodes Yn, is constituted of a belt shaped common film section 16a and rectangular shaped electrically conductive film sections 16b and 16c that are alternatively projected and formed from the section 16a. Each section 16b is projected downward from the section 16a. On the other hand, each section 16c is projected and formed upward from the section 16a. Each section 16c of the film 16, that is a scanning electrode Y2, is placed between adjacent sections 16b of the film 16 that are scanning electrodes Y1, respectively.
