PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively realize a changeover to a musical sound synthetic type KARAOKE device while using an existing device by controlling to read out a music data with priority from a non-WORM auxiliary storage device when a singer specifies a performance melody, and using a rewritable auxiliary storage medium only when performing a melody not existing in a non-WOARM type auxiliary storage medium. SOLUTION: A microcomputer board 25 receives designation of a melody from a remote controller 50, and checks whether or not the corresponding melody is stored in an LD charger 11, and when the information on the corresponding melody is contained therein, KARAOKE is performed by using the audio and video outputs. On the other hand, when data of the corresponding melody are not contained therein, the microcomputer board checks whether or not the data of the corresponding melody are stored in an HDD 22C, and when the data of the melody are stored, the board uses it by reading it out. When the data of the corresponding melody are not contained in the HDD 22C, the board requests a host computer 30 to transfer the data of the corresponding melody via an ISDN line. |
