<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display system by which a user can efficiently search a target menu item in LCD(liquid crystal display device) of a portable telephone set whose display area is limited. SOLUTION: When a valid range key 16 is operated, a sub-menu 38 on a menu item selected in a main menu 30 is displayed on a lower side part of a screen as the blank part of the main menu 30. The number of sub-menu items 39 displayed in the sub-menu 38 is limited to two, for example. The sub- menu 38 is scrolled to left or right by the depression of a direction key 15 to left or right. The sub-menu items 39 which cannot be displayed are sequentially displayed and they can freely be selected.</p> |
