PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition useful for a disease relating to basic endothelial cell injury in a pregnant patient by including glycosaminoglycan. SOLUTION: This composition contains glycosaminoglycan, e.g. low-molecular weight heparin or heparan derivatives, chemically modified heparin or heparan derivatives and low-molecular weight dermatan sulfates and their mixture, preferably a mixture of heparan or heparin sulfate and dermatan sulfate in a ratio of (heparan or heparin sulfate/dermatan sulfate) is about (1/10)-(10/1), or preferably sulodexide. The composition is especially useful for prevention of pre-eclampsia and related disease. Preferably, the composition is a tablet type or an intravenous administration type and the administration path is oral, subcutaneous or parenteral, and the patient is a mammal, especially a human.
