PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram recording material which exhibits an excellent sensitivity and high definition, has high diffraction efficiency, transparency and preservable stability and allows mass production. SOLUTION: This hologram recording material is obtained by forming a hologram recording layer consisting of (A) a thermosetting resin which has at least one solvent-soluble and cation polymerizable ethylene oxide ring in a structural unit, (B) a radically polymerizable ethylenic monomer, (C) a photoinitiator system which activates radiation polymerization and cation polymerization when exposed to chemical effect radiation and (D) a sensitizing dyestuff which sensitizes the photoinitiator (C) on a base material 2 and laminating a nonstretched film having a thickness 10 to 100μm, a visible light transmittance >=80% and a haze <=3.5% and the hologram recording layer.
