PURPOSE: An abrasion-resistant sintered alloy for an intake valve seat and a production method thereof are provided to have an excellent abrasion resistance. CONSTITUTION: A sintered alloy for an intake valve seat is composed of 1 to 3wt% of Ni, 6.0 to 8.0wt% of Cr, 3 to 6wt% of Mo, 0.5 to 2.5wt% of Co, 1.0 to 3.0wt% of W, 0.3 to 0.5wt% of Ba, 0.3 to 2.3wt% of C, 13 to 15 wt% of cu and Fe. Further, a Fe-2Ni-7.0Cr-5Mo-1.5Co-2.0W-0.4Ba-1.3C-14Cu alloy is desirable, made up of 2wt% of Ni, 7.0wt% of Cr, 5wt% of Mo, 1.5wt% of Co, 2.0wt% of W, 0.4wt% of Ba, 1.3wt% of C, 14wt% of Cu and Fe.
