PURPOSE: A method for connecting a meta search engine and web servers is provided to improve the meta search speed by setting up the connection of a meta search engine and web servers according to the http protocol. CONSTITUTION: With the address and port of a web server, a meta search engine sets up a plurality of connections with the web server. Each thread in the meta search engine manages each connection. According to a preset time limit of the web server, each thread maintains each connection condition by resetting up the connection if the time limit lapses, while in a sleep state during the time limit.
