PURPOSE: A system for clicking an advertisement in a moving picture screen based on the internet and a method for operating the same are provided to enable an internet user to visit a web site voluntarily for the internet advertisement by providing the internet user with free moving pictures after clicking advertisements. CONSTITUTION: A moving picture player screen such as a window media player and a real player is installed in a home page of a server computer(s11). An advertisement file is inserted into the screen(s12). If the user clicks the advertisement file(s14) by a mouse, he/she visits a web site of an advertiser(s15,s16). After it is confirmed that the user has visited the web site of an advertiser, the moving pictures can be played(s18) if the user press a button for driving a moving picture player(s17).
