PURPOSE: A cellular phone having a conversation recording device is provided to record conversations while talking with other people and to play back the conversations, so as to recognize emergent matters, telephone numbers, and account numbers. CONSTITUTION: An analog to digital(A/D) converter(32) detects an analog voice signal inputted through a microphone(24a), and modulates the analog voice signal into a digital voice signal. A voice memory(34) stores the digital voice signal. A digital to analog(D/A) converter(36) inputs the digital voice signal, and demodulates the digital voice signal into an analog voice signal. An amplifier(42) amplifies the analog voice signal to output the signal to a speaker(28a). An on/off operator(40) inputs recording/playing back commands. A controller(38) outputs a control signal for performing recording/playing back operations, according to a control signal inputted from the on/off operator.
