METHOD FOR REPLAYING AUDIO SIGNAL CORRESPONDING TO RANGE DESIGNATED CHARACTER AND REPLAYING APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A range designated audio replaying method is provided to enable a partial replay of an audio data corresponding to the range of specified characters which are displayed on a screen. CONSTITUTION: A data file having audio data and character data corresponding to the audio data is read into a memory. The audio data is replayed via a speaker into voice, and the character data is displayed with characters on an output screen. A user directs a range replay while designating a desired range from the displayed characters on the screen by using designating means. The audio data corresponding to the characters in the designated range is read out from the memory and replayed through the speaker via a certain signal treatment. In listening to a foreign language, the user can replay of a certain part that is difficult to understand, and the efficiency of the study can be enhanced.
