PURPOSE: A detergent composition comprising conventional detergent composition and chloramine-T as a bactericidal component is provided which has excellent detergency and bactericidal action and is harmless to human body and friendly to environments. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises a surfactant, a detergent aid, a flavor component, a pigment, water and 1 to 5% by weight of chloramine-T as a bactericidal component based on the total weight of the composition. The surfactant is selected from the group of alkylsulfonate, α-olefinsulfate, lauryl sodium sulfate, lauryl ammonium sulfate, alcohol ether ethoxylate, alkyl polyglucoside and fatty acid amide. The composition has an antibacterial effect against bacterial selected from the group consisting of Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, Lysteria monocytogenes and Pseudomonas fragi.
