PURPOSE: An electrode for the disinfection of subaqueous microbes is provided, which is characterized in that the electrode can remove efficiently bacteria in a short time without the taste change of water and maintain disinfection effects by a time. CONSTITUTION: An electrode for the disinfection of subaqueous microbes consists of the following components: silver(90-95%(wt)); copper(5-10%(wt)); gold(0.5-1.0%(wt)); one out of platinum-based metals(0.1-0.5%(wt)) such as lutetium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, iridium and platinum; and the transferred metals(0.1-0.5%(wt)) of the forth periodic atoms.
