PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an optical recording medium adaptable to a high density disk system, and improve the light-resistance and the storage stability, by making the recording layer contain at least one kind of compounds represented by a specified formula in an optical recording medium, wherein a recording layer is provided on a base, and also, a reflecting layer and a protective layer are provided on the recording layer. SOLUTION: In this optical recording medium wherein a recording layer is provided directly on a base or through an undercoat layer, and in addition, a reflecting layer and a protective layer are provided on the recording layer, at least one kind of a compounds represented by a formula is contained in the recording layer. In this case, in the formula, Mt represents a metal atom of bivalent or the like which may have two hydrogen atoms or oxygen or halogen, or a metal atom which may have (OR5)p or the like. Also, R5 to R11 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radical, and p to s each are an integer of 0 to 2. In addition, X1 to X4 and Y1 to Y4 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom and a trialkyl siliyloxy group. |
