PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a compression force high for a long time, prevent a slip between layers in a battery, and improve durability, by surrounding a battery element comprising a layered plane-shaped electrode and an electrolyte layer with a heat contraction film. SOLUTION: A battery element 1 is contained by heat contraction films 2, 3, and a compression force is applied in the layered direction of the battery element 1. A pair of tabs 4a, 4b extend from the end surface of the battery element 1, the heat contraction film 3 is pulled through between the tabs 4a, 4b. The battery element 1 is formed by stacking a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a non-fluidity electrolyte layer in a plane shape. The heat contraction films 2, 3 are wound on the battery element 1, and then heated and contracted. These heat contraction films 2, 3 apply the compression force in the layered direction to the battery element 1 to improve tightness of each layer for a long time. As material of the heat contraction films 2, 3, preferably, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, or polystyrene can be used. |
