PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent system capable of flexibly attaining communication between the user of terminal equipment and an agent corresponding to the condition of packaging an input/output function in the terminal equipment. SOLUTION: When an agent 1 provided with communication programs A2, B2, X2 and Y2 autonomously moves on a network 100 and arrives at a moving destination terminal 10. Input/output packaging information 11 is acquired from a storage device 10a, collated with a communication program and analyzed. The communication program A2 for character output is selected and made correspondent to a display driver A1 for controlling a character display device A packaged in the moving destination terminal 10. The communication program X2 for keyboard input is selected and made correspondent to a keyboard driver X1 for controlling a keyboard X, and communication with the terminal user is established.
