PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the electrophotographic photoreceptor high in sensitivity in a long wavelength region and high in durability and suitable for uses of laser printers and the like using semiconductor laser beams. SOLUTION: A photosensitive layer formed on a conductive substrate contains, as a charge generating material, a crystalline oxotitanyl phthalocyanine having main peaks of 7.3 deg., 9.4 deg., 9.7 deg., 11.6 deg., 13.3 deg., 17.9 deg., 24.1 deg., and 27.2 deg. in the X-ray diffraction spectra, and maximum double bundle peaks in 9.4 deg. and 9.7 deg., and the second maximum peak in 27.2 deg., and a charge transfer material of benzofuran-bishydrazone compound represented by the formula in which each of Ar1-Ar4 is, independently, an optionally substituted aryl group or the like; R1 is an optionally substituted aryl group or the like, (a) is an optionally substituted 1-3C alkyl group or the like; and (n) is 1, or 2, or 3.
