PURPOSE: A device for eliminating extraneous matters is provided which uses a brush for washing to separate extraneous matters from an iron plate and improve washing capability so that it prevents the iron plate from being damaged. CONSTITUTION: The device for eliminating extraneous matters in shadow mask manufacturing machine comprises the parts of: a defatted bath(41, 42) which uses alkaline detergent to eliminate rust preventing oil on the surface of the iron plate and extraneous matters; a first washing bath(43) which eliminates detergent and extraneous matters on the surface of the iron plate after defatting; a nitrate treatment bath(44) which uses nitric solution to etch the surface of the iron plate for raising adhesion power of photoresist; a second washing bath(45) which eliminates nitric acid and extraneous matters on the surface of the iron plate after treating by nitric acid; a neutralization tank(46) which neutralizes nitric acid on the surface of the iron plate using alkaline solution; and a third(47) and a fourth(48) washing tank which eliminate alkaline solution and extraneous matters after neutralization.
