PURPOSE: A system for searching a home page using a telephone number and method for the same are provided to use internet information with the telephone number, by generating a virtual directory in which the ID of a member and illustrating information at the virtual directory. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of communication devices(101-106) is used by an internet user(100) in order to access a host server(110) and search desired information. The host server(110) allocates the ID to the internet user(100) according to a wire telephone number that includes the local number of the internet user(100), a wireless telephone number, a UMS(Unified Message System) telephone number, and an ARS(Auto Response System) telephone number. A web server(113) includes a database(120) for storing the information of a member, and generates a virtual directory(116) according to the member's ID. The web server(113) forms a web page(117) for the member, and performs the search that is requested by the member.
