PURPOSE: Artificial cotton including hemp cloth and a production method thereof are provided to use the hemp cloth as an inside material of blanket or pillow and to have a strong characteristic against a fire. CONSTITUTION: A softer(16) is sprayed to a lump of synthetic cotton(12) and a lump of hemp cloth(14). The lumps of synthetic cotton and hemp cloth are dried and put in a cotton opener(20). The mixed cotton is divided finely by a blade roller(22) and mixed each other by the high pressure air sprayed from a blower. The mixed cotton is discharged to a vent hole(26). Synthetic cotton(30) mixed with vented hemp cloth is put in a scutcher(40) to be produced into cotton(50). Further, the cotton(50) is divided into a lump having a volume to be used as an inside material of pillow or cushion.
