SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEARCHING THREE-DIMENSIONAL VIRTUAL SPACE USING GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A system and a method for searching three-dimensional virtual space using a geographical information system are provided to search a detailed structure of a desired virtual building according to each stair using an avatar and to provide an exact and detailed virtual space service by implementing 3-dimensional virtual space having same structure of a real building with use of a picture from an artificial satellite or an aerial photograph. CONSTITUTION: A client(10) is a computer which an internet user who visits a virtual space search site uses. A web server(30) comprises a server program(32) executed to process an information search request transmitted from the client(10) and a processing program(34) supporting the interaction of server-client to process the internet user's information request. An artificial satellite image processing unit(40) carries out a function to make out the numerical map of a specific district based on artificial satellite images. An analysis drawing device(50) carries out detailed measurement in geographic measurement based on aeronautical photographs. A database server(60) connected with the processing program(34) mutually is composed of a geographical information DB(62), a building information DB(64), a three-dimensional building DB(66) and a member information DB(68).
