The lighting unit (17) comprises of a light source (75), a reflector unit (51) and a base collar assembly (52). The base collar includes an orifice (80) that enables the passage of an air flux within the lighting unit such that the bulb/light source does not over heat. The unit is sealed such that the ingress of moisture into the electrics is prevented.
