The invention relates to a method for securing the use of software comprising the following: in a modified data (D') generation sub-phase it is possible to obtain modified data (D') for a first category of users possessing a generation unit (11g) comprising at least one generation secret (Sg); whereby it is possible for a second category of users who do not possess the generation unit (11g) to generate original data (D) in the best possible manner without being able to translate said data in order to obtain modified data (D'); in an original data (D) reconstruction phase it is possible for a first category of users possessing a reconstruction unit comprising at least one reconstruction secret to return to the original data (D); whereby it is possible for a second category of users who do not possess the reconstruction unit to use the modified data (D') in the best possible manner.
