Compounds represented by general formula (I) or salts thereof; and use of both in hair tonics and so on: wherein R<1> and R<2> are each independently an optionally substituted C1-C30 hydrocarbon group or an optionally substituted five- or six-membered heterocyclic group containing 1 to 4 heteroatoms selected from among oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen; R<3> is hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl, acyl, alkoxycarbonyl, phenoxycarbonyl, or optionally substituted carbamoyl; a and b are each independently 0 or 1; and m is 1 or 2.
